Update On SumUp App

It's  our card machine app we use for taking all payments from our customers..The valeter utilizes the Sum Up app to process payments for services rendered to customers. It is essential to ensure that customers settle payments before leaving a job location. When making payments, customers must include their name and a description of the service being paid for.

How to Create a Payment Link on SumUp

1. Log into the SumUp Software:

Open the SumUp application or visit the SumUp website.

Use your email address as the username and the password provided to log in.

2. Navigate to the Payment Link Section:

Once logged in, locate the three-line icon on the left-hand side of the screen. This is the main menu icon.

Click on the icon to reveal a dropdown menu with several options, such as:

Home

Payment Links

Order

Pay Items

Click on Payment Links to proceed.

3. Open the Payment Link Page:

After selecting Payment Links, a new page will open showing several options:

Create Payment Link

Click on Create Payment Link to begin4. Enter Payment Details

A new layout will appear with fields to create the payment link: 

• Payment Type; Fixed

• Amount: Enter the amount you wish to charge the customer 

• Description: in this field, enter the customer’s name and the service being Performed.

5. Finalize and share the payment link

• Once all the necessary information is filled out, Click on Create Payment Link

• The payment link will be generated, and you can share it with the customer via text or any other communication method.

Collecting Payment Using the Sum Up Card ReaderTechnician Payment Responsibility Clause:

As part of your role as a technician, you are responsible for ensuring that full payment is collected from the customer upon the completion of each service. Failure to do so will result in the full service amount being deducted from your wages.

Additionally, it is mandatory to follow proper payment procedures, which include withholding the customer's car key until full payment is received. If you fail to adhere to these procedures, you will be fully responsible for covering the cost of the service, and the amount will be deducted from your wages.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

The customer must settle payment before leaving the Job location. When making a payment using the Sum Up app. Kindly include the customer's name and the description  service rendered.
